About the Author (Cliff Flamer):I’m an award-winning, nationally certified résumé writer and career counselor, doing business as BrightSide Résumés (est. 2001), after transitioning out of a successful recruiting career.Just this March, I won the public vote for "World's Best Résumé Writer" put on by CDI (see attached press release). Other credentials include 3 national certifications as a résumé writer (via National Résumé Writer's Association; Professional Association of Résumé Writers) and a career counselor (National Board for Counselor Certification).I have a master's degree in Career and College Counseling from San Francisco State University, where I've also served as an adjunct professor of Counseling. In this capacity, I've lectured to auditoriums of over 100 students on multiple occasions.My career articles and résumé samples and have been published in Cover Letters for Dummies, Directory of Professional Résumé Writers, Résumés for the Rest of Us, Happy about My Résumé, and No-nonsense Job Interviews. I've authored a chapter in the Career Planning & Adult Development Journal (21, 4) about working with multiracial clients. I've been quoted on Monster.com and other online articles sites, plus been interviewed by San Francisco State University and Tufts Univesrity. A recent publication showcasing my career counseling and resume-writing expertise includes co-authorship for an article on using résumés as a tool for narrative therapy soon to come out via the National Employment Counseling Association's (NECA's) journal.
